SONYA LUNSFORD
FOUNDER, FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
A veteran of the film industry, Sonya Lunsford has worked on over 40 films in the last 30 years. In addition to extensive work as a production accountant, controller and unit production manager, she has also produced a wide range of critically acclaimed and award-winning titles. Her esteemed body of work includes Tate Taylor’s The Help and Pretty Ugly People, Stephen Soderbergh’s Che Parts 1 and 2, Traffic, The Good German, Full Frontal and Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria and A Bigger Splash. Her latest feature is Ponyboi, River Gallos’ debut film directed by Esteban Arango which premiered at Sundance 2024.
Sonya is originally from Georgia, her first job in the industry was working crafty for Driving Miss Daisy and the biz had her. She relocated to LA in the 1990s and then made her home in upstate NY 5 years ago.
As a producer herself, she has a unique approach and appreciation for those in that role and discovered a need for accounting services that can serve filmmakers better. Sonya founded Omega Outpost in 2022 to provide bespoke financial services that understands productions from the producer’s perspective. She leverages her longstanding relationships with artists, vendors and unions to benefit producers.
HEATHER RANSLEY
POST ACCOUNTANT, OPERATIONS MANAGER
Heather’s attention to detail and analytical skills are critical to monitoring costs and streamlining accounting processes to keep producers aware of potential problems and opportunities. Heather has a strong accounting background: her experience was primarily in the hospitality and restaurant industry managing budgets, inventories and costs. She has always partnered with elevated brands and most recently worked on A24’s MaXXXine.
Heather is originally from New York and has lived in Chicago, Hawaii, Florida and Costa Rica. In 2020 she returned to her home state and started working with film producers on their New York State Film Tax Credit Program submissions.

Heather’s favorite pastime has always been watching movies and TV, her interest into the business of filmmaking began in college. She earned her degree in Photography Technology and she took several classes with filmmakers as part of her curriculum. She is as passionate about the entertainment industry as she is about numbers: they both tell stories.
